On October 11, 2024, Chase County Schools introduced a heartfelt new tradition known as "Passing the Spirit." This event celebrated the connection between current seniors and future students, fostering school spirit and unity. During the ceremony, seniors passed along a bracelet inscribed with “Class of 2037” and a colorful pennant, symbolizing the continuity of school pride.

The pennants, meticulously printed and assembled by Mr. Nathan Gaswick and his classes, are visible reminders of each student's love for The Longhorns. Each senior also received a pennant to keep, ensuring they carry a piece of their school’s spirit into the future. The event invited community members to witness this symbolic act, reinforcing the supportive environment that defines Chase County Schools. “Passing the Spirit” is poised to become a cherished tradition, instilling pride and connection across generations of students.
