Today is Thursday, a "J" Day!

HS SPVA Track meet scheduled tomorrow 4/29 has been postponed until Tuesday 5/3.  HS SPVA Golf scheduled tomorrow has been postponed-no rescheduled date at this time.

Found in the east parking lot a baseball cap, if you lost it come to Mrs. Wilson’s room, describe it and it's yours.  There are also some earrings, fitbits, bangles and a watch in the HS office.

FIELD DAY:  Monday, May 16th, all day long!!  If anyone is interested in volunteering to help with Field Day, whether it be running a station, taking students from station to station or helping with the restroom, especially in the morning, please e-mail Jodie Schuller at [email protected].  Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 5th grade are in the morning, 3rd grade, 4th grade and 6th grade are in the afternoon.  Please let me know if you would want to work all day, morning only or afternoon only.  Your help is greatly appreciated!!  Thank you!!

Students can now pick up an application and recommendation forms for the National Honor Society from Mr. Herbert.  Applicants must be at least a sophomore with a  3.5 or higher GPA.  Applicants will be evaluated on Academics, Leadership, Community Service, and Character.  Applications and recommendation forms are due to Mr. Herbert on Friday, April 29th.  The Induction Ceremony will be Thursday, May 12th from 7pm-8pm in the Auditorium.

Book Sale  Only $ .25 for books no longer checked out in the library.  Sale starts Monday April 25th.  It will end May 6th.  Come get some books to take home to read over the summer.

The 2015-2016 K-8th yearbooks are sold out...  We do have past yearbooks on sale for $10  Limited quantities.

Freshman and Sophomore Athletic Students - Please ask your parents to bring a dessert to the Athletic Banquet on May 7th by 5:45 p.m.



Driver’s Ed is scheduled for June 20 - 29th with the weekend off.  Classes will be from 8-11:30am at the school and drive time will be scheduled with the instructor.  Cost TBD.  Please contact Mr. Herbert if you are planning to take Driver’s Ed.

Per State statute as long as the student resides 1 & ½ miles from school and either the student or the school is outside a 1st class city (5,000 or more) they qualify for a school permit. So if the city is less than 5,000 population and the student resides at least 1 ½ mile from the school they qualify.  All individuals 14 and older not eligible for a school permit must obtain a driving permit prior to taking a driver education course.

In order to assist the PTO, please make sure you are carefully cutting around the dotted line on the box top. The expiration date must clearly be shown and cut nicely.

You can deposit the box tops in the jar at the school office or take them to your classroom.

If you have more than 50, please place in a baggy or envelope with the number marked on the outside.

Breakfast Program

Breakfast will be served from 7:45 a.m. – 8:05 a.m.  Breakfast prices are as follows:  K-12 - $1.40, Adults - $2.10.  Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced-price meals.  Reduced – price is $0.30.

2015-2016 Free & Reduced Price School Meals Family Applications are now available in the Chase County Schools Office

If you need community service hours, the Senior Citizen/Community Center needs help the 2nd Sunday of each month - serving and cleaning up after buffet (8:00 am - 2:00 pm).  Call 882-5343.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION - Keep collecting!  Funding is used for extra activities, technology and supplies in the classrooms.  Bring your Box Tops to the office or give them to your home room teacher.  Thank You!
