If you plan on having your 2013-14 physical at the school next week you must see Mrs. Paisley prior to the date to have your Ht. Wt. Vision and V.S. completed. Bring your physical form with you to her office anytime during the day . This must be done prior to seeing the health provider on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sports Physicals for the 2013-2014 school year will be held at Chase County Schools for $25.00. Brandy Hanes will be conducting Physicals for the girls on Tuesday May 21st from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Dr. Nicholson will be providing sports physicals for the boys from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Wednesday May 22nd. The Pre-participation Physical Form is on the school website (under forms). Please print the form off and fill out all the information. A parents signature is required on the form (in two places). If parents have a wellness plan with their insurance company they may want to schedule an appointment at their Doctor's and it may be covered. They just need to contact their insurance company and ask.

The Longhorns Youth Basketball Camp will take place on June 3rd & 4th, here in the Longhorn Gym. Coach Cory Fehringer and his staff will be here to conduct the camp. Boys and girls who will be entering grades 4-7 will be eligible to attend. The emphasis of this camp will be development of offensive skills and ways to improve skills throughout the year. You can register your player by filling out the form that will be given to the students in their homerooms and sending it back to his/her homeroom teacher along with a check for $25 made out to "Imperial Basketball" -- or you can e-mail or call Coach Carl Zuege or Coach Nancy Sorensen and indicate that your player will be attending, then you can pay the $25 upon arrival the first day of camp.

The City of Imperial is looking for lifeguards this summer, pick up the applications at the City Office.

We will be having two sessions of driver's ed this summer. Session one will be June 5th - 14th. Session two will be June 17th - 26th. The cost is $150.00. If you are planning on taking driver's ed this summer, please let Mr. Herbert know as soon as you can which session you want to be in.

The National Honor Society is offering free tutoring on Wednesdays after school. The students will be in the Distance Learning Room. The tutoring is available to all students elementary through high school.

PTO Information and Events

Go to the "Parent" tab on CCS website and proceed to "PTO BLOG." Home has a Volunteers Needed area. There will information about volunteering and a "HERE" link that will take you to "Volunteer Spot" where you can register to help out.

The PTO is looking for a Scholastic Book Fair Coordinator for next year and a Vice-President for this year.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION - Keep collecting!! The PTO collected over $1200 the first semester of the school year through your donation of Box Tops! Funding is used for extra activities, technology and supplies in the classrooms. Bring your Box Tops to the office or give them to your home room teacher. Thank You!

Lunch Account Balance and Transactions: Please keep your lunch account in the positive! You may see your balance on Infinite Campus/Parent & Student Portal.

DETENTION TIME: Students will be assigned 90 minutes of detention time for each unexcused class period absence.

To avoid suspension, detention time needs to be made up within two weeks.

During the 2011-12 school year, there were zero students out of 307 students that participated in Public School Choice at Chase County Schools."
